Creative Critical Reflection
1.
How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does
it represent social groups or issues?
My product that
I chose to present about, which was crocs, represents social groups in many
ways. As you may or may or may not know it, crocs are a popular trending brand
at the moments. Crocs saying is “Come As You Are” which basically represents
someone expressing themselves in the crocs, as it comes in many different
colors, sizes and etc.
2. How does your product engage with
audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?
As previously stated, my product engages with audiences because
crocs are a trending brand at the moment. You could be going to the grocery
store and would see a good 10 people walking around in them. They are comfortable
shoes and even water shoes, so it would be distributed as a real media text of
going out and purchasing some crocs because they are very fascinating and comfortable
to wear. Not to mention they are in style!
3. 3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
My production skills developed a lot throughout this project. Reason being is because I was introduced more into the filming and editing word with the different types of takes and positions of the camera. When you learn the concepts of what you are filming, it just becomes a learning and growing process as you go.
4.
How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this
project?
I
integrated technologies into this project with the editing and filming portion
of it. The camera that was used was the camera of an iPhone. An iPhone has a
lot of software on it and really any piece of electronic does, but it is mainly
about the quality that matters.
