"DON'T" Music Video


This is my group and I's music video project. In fact this is our first and I can say it was not that bad. We have some improving to do over the months to do, most definitely. For the most part I would say despite the challenges that was have came across making this music video, there has never been a moment where we felt like giving up because we always found a way to get the work done. I am proud of what we have accomplished overall. This music video has a strong backstory that goes on a lot in society today. This is to open the light towards people not having respect for a relationship even friendship wise. This project was a bit different from the first project in many ways. The producing was more and the planning as well but all of this is for a good reason. I cannot wait to see my producing skills improve over the course of these next months to come!

 The question is whether I will be working independently or in a group. For the most part I would say I am working in a group. I would not mind working with other peers or myself honestly. I say this because I work just fine whether it is by myself or with other people. There can be advantages as well as disadvantages to working independently or amongst yourself. Working independently can help you set your own pace and not have any conflicts with others. Whereas working in a group can help you get a better understanding of the assignment given and can get the job done quicker. In my opinion though I believe working in a group in this class is the best way to do it because the work seems like having other people would be helpful. But on the other hand, when you work by yourself you will not come across issues like which person didn't do their part of their assignment, etc. But like I said whether it is working with 1-4 people or by myself, it does not really matter. Genre Decision Blog

 For my opening sequence I have decided to use mystery as my genre. The reason why I have picked this genre is because I feel that it would be a best fit for the pitch I plan on choosing. Mystery is also something that interests me which is another part that plays in my decision making. I also believe it is not as difficult of a genre to choose because I am a bit familiar with it. My excitement for the intensity that I could input into my opening sequence runs high!

Sometimes we forget..

  Not too long ago right before I began filming, somethings were changed in the events of things. The location was changed from a bedroom to the park instead. I felt like it would be more visual and more entertaining to watch instead of just being in a bedroom. The day I recorded at the park was a nice relaxing and fun day, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the weather was just beautiful.
