 For my opening sequence I have decided to use mystery as my genre. The reason why I have picked this genre is because I feel that it would be a best fit for the pitch I plan on choosing. Mystery is also something that interests me which is another part that plays in my decision making. I also believe it is not as difficult of a genre to choose because I am a bit familiar with it. My excitement for the intensity that I could input into my opening sequence runs high!

 The question is whether I will be working independently or in a group. For the most part I would say I am working in a group. I would not mind working with other peers or myself honestly. I say this because I work just fine whether it is by myself or with other people. There can be advantages as well as disadvantages to working independently or amongst yourself. Working independently can help you set your own pace and not have any conflicts with others. Whereas working in a group can help you get a better understanding of the assignment given and can get the job done quicker. In my opinion though I believe working in a group in this class is the best way to do it because the work seems like having other people would be helpful. But on the other hand, when you work by yourself you will not come across issues like which person didn't do their part of their assignment, etc. But like I said whether it is working with 1-4 people or by myself, it does not really matter. The casts/producers of the film are displayed throughout the opening sequence. -What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? -What connotations do these images carry? -How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? - What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? -How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.
