  Name: Ashley Antoine   Creative Critical Reflection 1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product that I chose to present about, which was crocs, represents social groups in many ways. As you may or may or may not know it, crocs are a popular trending brand at the moments. Crocs saying is “Come As You Are” which basically represents someone expressing themselves in the crocs, as it comes in many different colors, sizes and etc. 2. CROCS , COME AS YOU ARE.

  The creation of the commercial overall has been a blast. We learned a lot of things in the process. The first couple of days we planned and drafted what we were going to do. Then after that was filming which was not much work to do. I think the filming process was fun. I liked the filming and it was not much work to do. We took multiple takes of every shot and then moved on to editing. Editing was not a easy process. We picked out the best takes and shortened it to our liking. After we put the videos in the order that we wanted and added the transitions we wanted. 

Last Day of Editing

 This was our second/last day to edit. For the most part the editing was finished and taken care of. We just had to make some minor tweaks like making sure we met the time requirement and everything. The middle half of the commercial continued to have transitions that made the video have a good flow. For the most part it was an in and out dissolving transition pattern. Simple transitions too smoothly go through with the video. I have learned from editing and I hope to improve. 

Putting the film together!

 First day of editing. My partner and I try figuring out how we can complete this commercial without it being too dramatic or too bland. We successfully found a way. More importantly I was more of the recorder and she mainly put together the editing. Half of the video started off as her running and the transition is like a dissolving transition. The app that was used was Cap Cut . We got a hang of it pretty quickly there was not much to handle. First half of the editing was finished. For the most part the angles were in long shot. I know editing may be a bit challenging for others but once you get to be comfortable around the editing software it should be a breeze. I think the effects used in the video was pretty nice too.

Finishing What We Started!

 Today, my partner and I finished recording our last half of our commercial. I would say the filming process went smooth. The first day we went to record like a preview of what exactly we were doing and we just implemented it into what we were doing today. First thing we did was go out onto the track and recorded that part for it. Then we went in front of the media center where we recorded the second shot. We did our third shot going up the stairs and the other parts up the stairs. Although we were pressed against time towards the end we still managed to get the filming done. After the day was over, we discussed how we were going to proceed with the editing so that our commercial comes out nice. 

Filming Extravaganza

 Today was the first day of filming. Filming can take from little to a lot of time depending on how you really want the outcome of the project to be. It was a very hot and steamy day. Especially since the filming was done outside. But this did not stop us from getting some work done. In class we were sent to go do our filming. The locations of our film were the track and the media center. We got most of the things done. As we went along our storyboard, we first went to the track and figured out how we were going to set up so that the scenes played out. We then began filming in the exact way and then made our way to the front of the media center. Over at the media center where we continued filming up the stairs. Today I would say was more of a draft run and we will actually perfect the filming next class. Practice makes perfect and next class we will continue to go over the film we have from today and find a way to perfect it. We used the shots and camera angles in our story blog. O...

 First Scene- In this scene of the commercial, the person will come from jogging on the track in running shoes towards the media center in a long shot and a tracking shot (camera movement). Second Scene- In the second scene, after the person head towards the media center, they take a seat on the steps of the media center and changes out of the running shoes into the crocs for comfort. Person will have on shorts to look more athletic. The shot for this scene will begin as long shot and transition to showing the persons feet as they change into the crocs. Third Scene- The third scene is the person walking up the media stairs with the crocs. The shot is long shot. Fourth Scene- In the fourth scene, the person sees someone else with the crocs on except their crocs have the charms on there (which are the jibbitz that go on there for decoration) and they acknowledge each other in a two-shot frame (long shot).
