AICE MediaStudies

 

 This is my individual project that I have been working on. To me, it was simple and not too complicated. I did not have much problems completing it as well. I pushed towards the finish line without giving up. This 2 minute film does not have much of a complicated story towards it. It is about a trio friendship; two of the friends are closer and one of them holds a serious grudge against the "left out" friend that she is unaware of. In a way it leaves the film on a cliff hanger wanting the viewer to know what else is to come. This topic was easy and many people can relate to it today as it is a film to teach a lesson and help others watch their surroundings. Hence the "mysterious" theme. 

  Not too long ago right before I began filming, somethings were changed in the events of things. The location was changed from a bedroom to the park instead. I felt like it would be more visual and more entertaining to watch instead of just being in a bedroom. The day I recorded at the park was a nice relaxing and fun day, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the weather was just beautiful. 

I can finally say this is my last day of filming. I am proud of accomplishing as much as I accomplished now. Today I went to the park with my friend and my cousin to finish filming. We had to have several retakes of course because we can be a goofy bunch. I picked up my friend and my cousin to head to the park, began filming and go out of there in less than 2 hours. Afterwards, we grabbed something to eat as we hadn't eaten anything all day and we spoke about the film and how it's going to be put together.

 Okay so far everything has been slowly but surely going well. I am near the finish line with my film and I am proud to say it has not been that difficult of a ride. My film overall I feel like is simple and does not take much to put together. 

  Today I am editing what I had previously recorded. Infact I started including the names of the casts and adding special effects to them. From the amount of footage I had, I managed to get enough editing in that had me completed probably half way through the video. 

 Today is the last day of spring break. I went over to my friend's house who is also apart of the recording and got some recording in. For the most part everything was a breeze and we only had to have a few retakes. It was a nice and sunny day to just relax after that. 

 The way I am putting my film together I personally feel is a great thing. I am going to start off with the first half as an opening without the characters being shown but that is not what is being edited. I edited what I already filmed which was probably only a good 30 seconds. I started off with the IMovie editing software, I am testing it out for now to make sure I am compatible with it. I already included a few transitions for the most part. For the first half, I am still debating whether I am going to use another editing software or not as it is going to contain something different from the second half.

 I can successfully say I began filming. Filming was not that difficult as it was the first day of filming. After school, I went over to my cousins' house to begin the filming process, as she is one of the characters played in my film. It did not take much to do and it was mostly simple. The only thing I would say was getting the angle right and getting the videos to come out good. There were a few bloopers of course but for the most part I am satisfied with the first day of filming. I cannot wait for more, I have a feeling it will all come out amazing in the long run.

 Today was originally supposed to be the day I was filming but so many things happened so fast. So most likely I will be filming a couple of days from now. This was not the original plan but not everything goes as planned. But when I do begin filming, I plan to start off exactly as I have it listed. In my book this is a minor setback for a major comeback, I have been feeling overwhelmed, Spring break is right around the corner and I plan to do most of my filming then.

 Today I decided to choose a song for my film. I was looking for a real sound that would match what I was going for. As it is a mysterious/drama based film. I believed it was best to choose some type of instrumental song as it would be easier for me to choose from. With that being said I chose the song, Mystery by GoSoundTrack.

Scene 1 (Key's House):    *Key and Ocean are talking to one another about their upcoming activities.* Key: "Ocean, don't get mad but I am planning on doing something." Ocean: "Well, spit it out. What is it?" Key: "I am thinking of doing a prank on Niyah" Ocean: "What kind of prank?" Key: "One that I would wish upon no one" Ocean: "Absolutely not. Why are you bent on making her life miserable? If you do not like her presence, remove yourself from her" Key: "I have told you a million times that she will pay."  Ocean:"...over an old grudge *Ocean's phone rings* *Ocean glances at her screen and sees that Niyah is calling her* Ocean: "She is a good friend who means well."  I am researching on the www.artofthetitle.com. This website has a simple version of looking at title sequences and designer studios. One click of a button for everything. On the homepage, when you scroll down there is things you can view such as what the website is about. Also there are icons you can click which is about the most recent title sequences that were successful. There is a search bar where you can go to if you looking for something in particular.  The website www.watchthetitles is more of a sorted out website. Infact it was has more details. On the homepage it features other actors, tv shows, event titles. When you scroll down there is credits for the website alone. There is also multiple tabs to choose from like designers, title sequences, studios and the search bar. Under the title sequences tabs are the different types of films.
